Dralandra is an award-winning spoken word poet, arts educator, curator, and co-editor of Cracked Walnut’s anthology “Rewilding Hope, 2023” based in Minneapolis. She is a judge for the Minnesota Book Awards and a Program Coordinator with The Friends of St. Paul Library where she organizes author reading series including Club Book, Moving Words, and Fireside Reading Series. She has appeared in the Minnesota Women’s Press, The Edge, Insight News, Witness Writers, The Agates and other anthologies. Through performance, she weaves together words, rhythm, and intimacy to create a safe space for healing & self-discovery. She invites her audience to confront their own traumas and find strength in vulnerability. Her work is rooted in the art of healing, spirituality, community, self-love and liberation. Poetry not only serves as a form of therapeutic release for herself but also for those who listen to her words. She’s collaborated and competed on platforms including the NAACP, MN Black Authors Expo, Button Poetry, TruArtSpeaks, and the Black Business Ball Enterprise. Her impact goes beyond the stage.
She’s actively collaborated with nonprofits across the metro area, delivering poetry workshops that enrich their programs.
She is a member of the League of MN Poets, Cracked Walnut and Art to Change the World. Her poetic expression is a platform for advocacy, as she uses spoken word to shed light on social issues and uplift marginalized communities. She is also the creator of the "Pocket Poetry Dispenser ''at Next Chapter Booksellers in St. Paul, MN.

In her professional career, she's obtained her certification in affordable housing. A housing champion who's worked as a court operator for the 4th judicial district civil housing court and lobbied at the State Capital to garner support for affordable housing bills and local businesses.
